I took my first cross country trip when I was 13 and was hit with the travel bug.
I turned my passion of travel into a career. I earned my credentials in Travel and Tourism started working at a small travel agency planning trips for luxury leisure clients and corporate trips for small companies. Onto American Express where I worked onsite as their International Travel specialist at large Pharmaceutical Company. I took advantage of their many training classes as I am constantly educating myself. When I was not working I was traveling around the world, which I think is the best learning, experiencing different cultures. Next f came Meeting and Incentives and then corporate travel sales with Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
I started my own business, Honeymoons and Get-A-Ways in 2005 because corporate America hours were not conducive with raising 3 boys, their school, appointments, sports and daycare hours. Truth be told, as an entrepreneur at heart, I did always want to start my own business. After years of big business I had my own vision of how I thought clients could better serviced when looking for a romance travel experience, which is my niche.
As an entrepreneur you must be open to trying new things, always! Shortly after starting my own business I was asked to speak at a large travel event in New York, which has led into being a Global Keynote Speaker. I hosted “PostCards from Nancy” which streamed previously on ROKU and also have been featured in New York Times, CNN, and Forbes, to name a few. I do not have a PR or marketing person, I seek my own introductions and opportunities. “The only place SUCCESS comes before WORK is in the dictionary”
